Bottom line
The sleeper story here isn't the AI-driven beat, it's that TTM has quietly become a leveraged serial acquirer, closing or announcing five deals since June funded by new debt that's already adding $20M/quarter of interest expense, right after management told us its model was disciplined, brownfield, and cash-funded. The obvious headline, a 60% revenue beat and record EBITDA margin, is real, but it sits on top of a Data Center & Networking segment that missed its own 49%-of-sales guide by eight points and an N+M dollar disclosure that was internally contradictory in the same breath ('31% of 400 million' vs 'slightly more than 200'). The binding constraint isn't demand, it's visibility: management conceded the DCN miss was 'project timing on the customer side', meaning TTM's growth is now a function of a handful of hyperscaler program schedules it doesn't fully control, layered on top of fresh M&A integration risk. My view changes if next quarter's 10-Q shows CFFO catching up to non-GAAP net income and management reconciles the N+M dollar figures cleanly; until then, I'd treat the 2027 guide as more marketing than binder.

The 30-second version

  • TTM is quietly becoming a leveraged acquisition roll-up, not just an AI PCB story
  • The headline 60% revenue beat masks a Data Center & Networking guidance miss
  • The 80%-AI-and-defense megatrend metric vanished, and the N+M dollar math doesn't add up
