Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand visits, referrals and how people use our pages. Hosting. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes standard request logs, which may include your IP address, requested URL, request time, and browser information. These records support delivery, security and troubleshooting. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions, billing and subscriber accounts are managed on Substack. Some pages on this website include a Substack signup iframe; loading or using it connects your browser to Substack, which may receive technical information and use cookies under Substack's Privacy Policy. Direct subscription links also take you to Substack. This website does not directly collect payment card details. Substack makes subscriber information available to us to manage our publication and subscriber relationship.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message or attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond to your message and handle your request.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website, understand readership, improve our pages, respond to correspondence and manage our publication. The providers described above process information as part of supplying those services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run third-party ads on this website.
