Bottom line
The sleeper story is INTU launching an AI agent ecosystem with consumption pricing in weeks - this isn't a feature upgrade, it's a platform economics reset that could drive pricing power across their entire customer base. Everyone will focus on the 47% TurboTax Live growth, but the real story is they're one year from becoming primarily an assisted tax company with completely different unit economics. The binding constraint is Mailchimp integration - flat revenue after price increases means the cross-sell vision isn't working, creating a 400bp drag on growth they're masking with desktop accounting changes. Sasan's most revealing quote: 'Customers eliminate the use of other apps...spending less money on other apps and spending it in one place with us' - they're going after the entire SMB software stack. My view changes if the AI agent launch gets delayed or lacks consumption pricing specifics.

The 30-second version

  • AI Agent ecosystem launch disguised as product upgrade is actually a massive platform pricing reset
  • TurboTax Live just became 40% of the franchise and the growth math is about to flip
  • Mailchimp revenue was 'relatively flat' - they buried the revenue drag in desktop growth numbers
