Bottom line
The sleeper story isn't just AI momentum - Marvell just completed its transformation into a custom silicon foundry with the AWS deal locking in multi-year volume commitments. Everyone sees the 26% YoY growth guide, but the real catalyst is operating leverage: 43% EPS growth on 19% revenue growth shows the model working. The binding constraint shifted from demand (solved with AWS deal) to manufacturing capacity for 100B+ transistor chips, which only they and one competitor can deliver at scale. Murphy's most revealing quote: 'The custom train is definitely happening' - no hedging, pure conviction. My view changes if customer concentration becomes more than 50% of custom revenue from any single source.

The 30-second version

  • The sleeper story: Marvell just became a custom silicon factory, not just an AI play
  • Data center now 73% of revenue (up from 69% last quarter) with AI driving 26% YoY growth guidance
  • Enterprise/carrier recovery is real but they stopped breaking out key metrics
