Bottom line
The sleeper story: SEI just went 'all in' on a single customer, consuming 100% of available capacity and forcing emergency procurement at premium prices just to maintain optionality. While headlines celebrate the 900MW JV upsizing, the real story is desperation: 'it was quite difficult to secure' just 330MW more, and the large 38MW turbines are 'effectively sold out' industry-wide. The binding constraint is now crystal clear: zero customer diversification possible until late 2026, and even then only with less efficient equipment. Most revealing quote: 'There is a little lack of customer diversity, but at the same time, I think we have a great customer.' My view changes if they announce ANY material contract with a different customer in the next 90 days.

The 30-second version

  • The real story: Power fleet is now 100% committed with zero flexibility for new customers until late 2026
  • Headlines will focus on the JV upsizing, but the real issue is supply chain desperation
  • Logistics business softening faster than expected; oil-directed activity already pulling back
