Bottom line
The sleeper story is data centers quietly becoming a stealth growth driver with hyperscalers adopting industrial-grade controls for AI infrastructure, but it's getting buried in segment reporting. Despite crushing Q1 expectations with 13% organic growth, they held full-year guidance and specifically said they need to see 'additional evidence' before raising it - either they're being conservative or Q1 was a tough comp. The real binding constraint remains customer CapEx discipline on large projects, though Lifecycle Services book-to-bill of 1.16 suggests the dam might be cracking. As Blake put it: 'We just need to see a little bit more given that it's the first quarter of the year.' My view changes if data center revenue hits $100M+ quarterly run rate or if they quantify the actual pipeline conversion rates for those delayed projects.
