Bottom line
The sleeper story is that Cheniere solved their 2025 operational headaches and are now capturing pricing power from Middle East chaos. While everyone focuses on geopolitical supply disruptions, the real alpha is operational: they fixed feed gas composition issues, added 1M tonnes to production forecast, and are locking in $6-7 margins on 2027 sales while competitors scramble. The binding constraint isn't demand or supply - it's EPC capacity and Bechtel's construction schedule for the next growth phase. Most revealing quote from Anatol: 'If not now, if not us, whom and when?' - they know they have customers over a barrel. My view changes if they start disclosing customer concentration again and it shows dangerous dependence, or if Train 6 ramp-up disappoints the aggressive timeline they just set.

The 30-second version

  • Middle East disruption accidentally proves pricing power: they raised guidance while others shrink
  • Production engineering breakthrough is the real story, not geopolitics
  • They stopped breaking out key customer concentration metrics
