Bottom line
The sleeper story is power generation becoming the real gas monetization solution - they committed 50M/day to a 1.3GW plant and are actively working data center deals, not just talking about pipes. The obvious headline is solid production and efficiency, but the binding constraint is that maintenance CapEx just reset $25M higher per quarter despite the efficiency narrative. Most revealing quote: Kaes calling Barnett and Woodford 'will probably be Tier 1 development zones' - that's material inventory expansion nobody's modeling. My view changes if steel costs keep climbing faster than efficiency gains can offset them.

The 30-second version

  • Power play quietly becoming the gas monetization solution while everyone obsesses over pipes
  • Maintenance CapEx officially reset to $925M/quarter from COVID-era lows
  • Deep zones quietly becoming Tier 1 inventory while peers chase longer laterals
