Bottom line
The sleeper story everyone's missing: EL is building a margin machine for FY27 - PRGP benefits continue flowing next year even after the program 'ends,' plus the new Accenture enterprise services partnership just launched. The obvious headline is the 4% organic growth beat, but the real story is the 19% innovation speed metric (vs 16% expected) that's solving their binding constraint: makeup needs scale and they're finally accelerating innovation cycles to get it. Travel retail disruption is temporary noise - Hainan was high double-digits in January with market share gains. As Stephane said: 'We are going for the top end of the guidance both in top line and bottom line.' My view changes if Americas doesn't return to growth in H2 or if China consumer sentiment deteriorates despite their strong execution.

The 30-second version

  • The real story: They're quietly building a margin machine for FY27
  • 4% organic growth beats, but it's all about the 19% innovation speed metric
  • Travel retail transition is masking China ecosystem strength
