Bottom line
The sleeper story is AMT's margin expansion program - 200-300 bps over five years would be transformational to FCF generation but seems underappreciated by the market. The DISH default creates noise but actually reveals the underlying three-carrier market is generating steady 4.5% US organic growth, which is healthier long-term. The real constraint is CoreSite capacity where Vondran admitted 'we have more demand for inferencing than we can meet with our supply.' My view changes if the margin expansion program delivers less than 40 bps annually or if CoreSite capacity additions lag behind their stated excess demand.

The 30-second version

  • SLEEPER STORY: Tower margin expansion program is actually massive
  • DISH default forces conservative reset, but creates cleaner comps
  • CoreSite inferencing demand outstripping supply capacity
