Bottom line
The market sees data center fireworks, but the real story is AEIS's semiconductor platforms finally hitting production after years of development, with revenue doubling this year to 'tens of millions' setting up significant 2026 share gains. Yes, data center doubled, but management admits engineering bandwidth, not demand, is the binding constraint, meaning they literally can't grow faster even if orders are there: 'the limiting factor for many of these customers is going to be engineering bandwidth.' The sudden disappearance of DSO disclosure while stretching payables is concerning. My view changes if semiconductor qualification-to-production conversion rates disappoint or if Q3 DSO resurfaces above 70 days.

The 30-second version

  • The sleeper: Semiconductor new products are finally hitting production, with 350+ qualification units shipped and revenue doubling this year
  • Data center revenue nearly doubled YoY to $142M, but this isn't your typical hyperscale lumpiness
  • China factory closure completed but tariffs ate the savings, and management stopped giving DSO numbers
