Bottom line
The sleeper story is the accelerated China exit that wasn't in the plan three months ago; something forced their hand and the $25-30M charge suggests urgency. Yes, AI data center is surging 74% sequentially, but semiconductor customers pulling forward orders into Q2 suggests they're battening down the hatches for something management isn't telling us. The binding constraint is cash generation: only $7M operating cash flow on $34M operating income means working capital is eating everything. Management's quote that 'forecasting can be a challenge' is the tell; they've lost visibility. My view changes if Q3 operating cash flow exceeds $50M proving this quarter was an anomaly.

The 30-second version

  • China factory exit accelerating into 2025 is the sleeper margin catalyst
  • AI data center surge real but semi pull-forward suggests customers getting nervous
  • Industrial/medical inventory correction timeline keeps slipping
