Bottom line
The multi-cloud database business growing 200% in three months is the sleeper story - this is pure software margin on hyperscaler infrastructure that could hit $1B+ run rate by FY26. While everyone focuses on the $130B RPO beat, the real constraint is component delays until Q1 FY26, not demand. Ellison's most revealing quote: 'You're not going to be able to separate how much did you make on the AI agents and how much did you make on the rest of the applications' - basically admitting they can't quantify AI revenue impact. My view changes if they start breaking out AI platform revenue or if multi-cloud database growth sustains above 150% for another quarter.

The 30-second version

  • The multi-cloud database business is quietly becoming Oracle's third leg (and most profitable)
  • RPO explosion signals demand inflection, but component delays are the real constraint
  • Oracle 23 AI platform launch is management's biggest bet - but no revenue metrics disclosed
