Bottom line
The sleeper story is data center revenue more than doubling to $500M+, quietly driving industrial strength while everyone focuses on auto recovery. Management finally disclosed this structural demand driver that's been hiding in industrial IoT and comms infra segments. The obvious headline is auto growth acceleration, but the real story is content per vehicle expansion overriding SAAR weakness - their accelerated growth drivers contributed 90% of auto growth. The binding constraint is front-end utilization hitting mid-80s in H2, which caps near-term gross margin expansion despite strong demand. Sotomayor's most revealing quote: 'The remainder of 2026 is set up to be stronger than we anticipated just 90 days ago' - unusually bullish upgrade. My view changes if data center revenue growth decelerates or inventory builds without corresponding demand acceleration.

The 30-second version

  • Data center sleeper story: $200M to $500M+ run rate quietly driving industrial strength
  • Auto growth acceleration despite flat SAAR validates content thesis
  • Channel inventory creeping up signals demand strength but creates comp risk
