Bottom line
The sleeper story is space becoming a billion-dollar business faster than anyone realizes - they're investing $500M+ outside the backlog and physically can't build capacity fast enough. The obvious headline of 6-9% 2026 EPS growth looks conservative given $2.5-3B of secured backlog startups. The binding constraint is actually capacity, not demand - Sanjiv said 'we just can't get enough product availability' for space demand. Most revealing quote: shifting from confident backlog 'expectation' to hopeful 'target' suggests execution pressure. My view changes if the fab wins he's promising don't materialize by April or if sequential pricing stays flat through Q1.

The 30-second version

  • Space business hitting critical mass with dedicated CapEx outside backlog
  • European margin expansion masking structural weakness
  • Pricing confidence wobbling despite inflation rhetoric
