Bottom line
Orders topped $2B for a second consecutive quarter, but supply remains the near-term constraint. Management did not refresh the prior $500M-$600M AI-wireline figure, saying it had expanded. Free cash flow declined from $472M to $403M sequentially. Operating cash flow of $437M still exceeded GAAP net income of $397M; comparing it with $531M of non-GAAP earnings is a different test. Next quarter, look for quantified AI demand and a working-capital explanation for the cash-flow movement.

The 30-second version

  • The AI dollar figure just went dark
  • Cash flow eased sequentially, but still exceeded GAAP earnings
  • ADG deceleration got the brush-off, not the data
