Bottom line
The sleeper story isn't the data center acceleration everyone will write about tonight, it's that the negotiations pipeline decelerated from +60% to +55% YTD and the explicit cash flow dollar figure quietly vanished from the deck even as EPS hit a record $3.68. The obvious headline, a third consecutive beat-and-raise with 19% organic growth and record margins, is real, but the binding constraint is now conversion capacity, not demand: 'Demand continues to run ahead of what we can convert', with backlog up 46% against 24% combined electrical organic growth. Management's own words on 2027 are the tell: when pushed for a granular bridge like the one they gave three months ago, management said 'it's premature for us to guide', a meaningful step down in forward transparency from a team that normally over-discloses. My view changes if the 10-Q shows operating cash flow growing in line with net income and receivables staying disciplined relative to the 28% revenue growth; if OCF lags, the cash flow silence on this call becomes the story, not a footnote.

The 30-second version

  • The pipeline is quietly decelerating while the headline accelerates
  • Third straight beat-and-raise is real, but management just admitted the binding constraint out loud
  • 2027 forward visibility just got worse, not better, despite the blowout quarter
