Bottom line
The OpenAI custom accelerator deal is the real story here, not the headline beat, representing CLS's evolution from commodity manufacturer to AI infrastructure architect with multi-billion dollar implications. The Street sees 65% growth, but management's admission that 'demand exceeds the revenue figures' reveals the binding constraint is materials, not demand, meaning true growth is being artificially capped. The refusal to quantify 2027's promised 'acceleration' despite claiming unprecedented visibility is the tell: either they don't actually have the visibility they claim, or the number would reset expectations uncomfortably high. 'We have capacity in place to execute the demand' but 'the constraint is really around materials,' Mandeep admitted. My view changes if they quantify the true demand number they're leaving on the table.

The 30-second version

  • OpenAI rack deal is the sleeper: multi-gigawatt custom accelerator deployment starting 2027
  • Revenue acceleration to 65% growth masks a critical supply chain reality
  • 2027 growth will ACCELERATE beyond 65% despite component shortages getting worse
