Bottom line
The sleeper story everyone is missing: Brand CELSIUS is showing serious shipment weakness behind the scanner data success, with management intentionally gaming inventory timing for a $25M quarterly benefit. While the obvious headline celebrates record $2.5B revenue and portfolio scale, the binding constraint is increasingly the disconnect between consumer pull-through and distributor push, evidenced by the widening gap between 12.8% scanner growth and negative 7.7% shipment growth. Most revealing quote from Langhans: 'We benefited to the tune of roughly $25 million in our reported results' while 'managing the peaks and valleys' - this is financial engineering, not organic growth. My view changes if Q1 shows shipments realigning with scanner data without management intervention.

The 30-second version

  • Brand CELSIUS is quietly hemorrhaging shipments behind scanner data success
  • Rockstar acquisition already showing accounting games
  • Gross margin compression accelerating despite scale gains
