The real story isn't the 4% system sales growth everyone will focus on - it's the side-by-side module empire hitting escape velocity with KCOFFEE ahead of plan and KPRO scaling. But here's the rub: delivery costs are exploding faster than sales growth with the mix hitting 51%, which explains why operating profit growth decelerated from 14% to 8% despite all the margin expansion talk. The binding constraint is sustainable unit economics as delivery cannibalizes higher-margin dine-in. Joey's most revealing quote: 'We see tremendous opportunity ahead of us as we leverage synergies to grow our businesses while protecting margins' - notice 'protecting' not 'expanding.' My view changes if they can prove the side-by-side modules generate positive ROIC vs standalone stores and if franchise economics aren't actually deteriorating behind their sudden silence.
