Bottom line
The sleeper story is that Galaxy just proved they can build and operate AI data centers, with $90M of Q2 EBITDA already in the bank, fundamentally changing this company from crypto speculation to infrastructure reality. Yes, crypto volumes held up surprisingly well, but the 830MW tenant selection delay reveals either Novogratz is playing hardball on price or the 'one-on-one asset' isn't as hot as claimed. The binding constraint isn't power or construction capability, it's finding creditworthy tenants willing to pay CoreWeave-level rates in a market where everyone knows CoreWeave paid top dollar. As Ferraro admitted: 'We know the value of Helios. We have a very attractive economic deal.' Translation: CoreWeave overpaid and everyone else knows it. My view changes if they sign the 830MW at similar economics by end of Q3.

The 30-second version

  • Data Center revenue is about to fundamentally transform this company, starting NOW
  • Crypto trading volumes flat despite 25% market decline: decoupling or one-quarter fluke?
  • The 830MW Helios expansion customer selection is taking suspiciously long
