Bottom line
The sleeper story is not the beat-and-raise, it's that CFFO and FCF both flipped negative this quarter ($-27M and $-181M respectively) exactly as management dropped last quarter's explicit cash-flow baseline and the entire Brookfield/IDF financing narrative, replacing it with a vaguer 'self-funding business' framing. The obvious headline, 138% YoY revenue growth and a third guidance raise to $4.4-4.6B, is real, but the binding constraint right now is working capital absorption from ramping new lines and expediting deliveries, not demand, demand was never the question. KR's own words cut both ways here: 'we will never go past our headlights, but we will never be slow enough where we are the bottleneck' is a confident pledge with zero attached timeline or capacity number, the same pattern that showed up when analysts pushed on backlog size and time-to-power and got deflected both times. My view changes if next quarter's 10-Q shows contract assets and receivables growing in line with revenue (not faster) and management reinstates a specific CFOA/FCF dollar target instead of qualitative reassurance.

The 30-second version

  • The self-funding story is covering for a cash-flow reversal nobody is pricing in
  • Beat-and-raise #3 is real, but the growth rate is quietly decelerating while margin guide refuses to move
  • Three disclosures that dominated last quarter's call just disappeared: Brookfield, IDF, and scandium
