The sleeper story is that APG's systems enablement capex is actually a stealth margin catalyst. While everyone focuses on their 13% EBITDA margin target, management launched a three-year tech investment to digitize 65-70% of their workforce (field technicians). Russ dropped this gem: 'Simple math...you can really quickly see where this company can be $10 billion plus in revenue.' The tariff protection is real - they proactively built escalation clauses into contracts since November. The binding constraint isn't demand (backlog up 7% in specialty) - it's optimization. Some branches hit 'well north of 20%' margins while others are mid-single digits. Russ on buybacks: 'We don't have to do much diligence, we really like APi's leadership team, so buying APG shares is an easy decision.' My view changes if they stop disclosing inspection/service mix quarterly - that metric disappearing suggests they're plateauing on their core strategic goal.
