The sleeper story is CTV's emergence as the real growth engine-45% growth, 11% of total impressions, and becoming standard even in 'premium' inventory. Management spent more time on social activation, but CTV is quietly becoming the programmatic winner. The MTF turnaround from double-digit declines to -1% is massive and shows they can expand margins through premium product mix, not just volume. However, the binding constraint is sales cycle complexity for new products like Authentic AdVantage-'these solutions require advertisers to go through testing, integrate them into workflows and allocate budgets, processes that take time.' They're building great products but customer adoption is grinding slower than hoped. My view changes if Q3 shows CTV revenue contribution and Scibids revenue run rate disclosure-they need to quantify these growth drivers beyond just impression volumes.
The 30-second version
- CTV is becoming the real programmatic story but they're still stuck on social
- MTF decline decelerated massively to just -1%, first time in forever
- Meta pre-screen is ahead of plan but they won't quantify the pipeline
