The sleeper story is that PCOR's AI monetization is falling apart behind the marketing hype - they admit the sales team is 'very small and intentionally so' because they're still learning the commercial motion. While they beat and raised on margins, they stopped reporting every customer metric that was growing 20%+ last quarter, which screams trouble in the customer base. The binding constraint is sales execution: Gopal brought in his own CFO and CRO from ANSYS because the current team can't execute on AI or international expansion. As he said: 'We need to continue to be able to move fast.' My view changes if they start reporting AI revenue per customer or restore customer count disclosures next quarter.
The 30-second version
- AI overlay sales team is so tiny they're afraid to scale it - red flag on AI monetization
- New CFO and CRO in seat signals Gopal's dissatisfaction with execution, despite beating guidance
- Construction volume commitments hit $1.1 billion with Trinity but no disclosure of pricing per volume
